Relic Music is a concierge music shop — Carefully curated for musicians and artists offering a vast selection of both classic and hard-to-find pieces. They are a collective of individuals here to provide a personalized experience to everyone by treating people the way they want to be treated and by our unending motivation to be the premier musical instrument shopping experience both in-store and online.

 

A Space For The Sonically Curious.

Relic Music was born out of a desire to fill a void in the local New Jersey boutique music store market. With an extensive background in music / musical instruments and a deep passion for the industry as well as the people that comprise it – the overall goal was to create a brand as well as a store that serves as a beacon for touring musicians and locals alike.


For Relic, it’s not just about selling gear — It’s about providing an irreproachable, one-of-a-kind experience for each individual journey unrivaled by all others. Together, we helped Relic Music take their vision and bring it to life creating an established and trustworthy aesthetic with accents that spoke from the visual language of the craft while containing a hint of grit to reference their basement show roots while crafting a tone of voice that spoke to their guests to establish themselves not only as experts but as partners in sound & vision.

A Balance of High End Expertise and a Down-to-Earth Approach

Balance was key to visually communicating to the spectrum of Relic’s demographic. On one end, the tone-chasing DIY musicians needed a level of texture to speak to the obsessive yet rebellious impulses of geeking out over gear and on the other end, the blues lawyers needed a clean aesthetic to communicate the professionalism and credibility of Relic. Studying amplifier schematics, we broke apart a visual language that could support the brand direction that we created together and serve as an element that would speak to those experts in-the-know but also add a level of character to the overall design system. The result is a timeless, genuine, and warm design system with a welcoming confidence.

From the very beginning stages through post-completion (and continuation), it has been an absolute pleasure. The process was easy, fun, and collaborative, & fun; and the we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Products & Store

Naturally, being obsessed with providing products for all guest needs, Relic wanted to offer a number of branded quality products. From custom guitar cables to guitar pics, branded guitar bags, merchandise and more, we worked with Relic to bring their vision to life. Going a step beyond, Relic hand dyed our designed / stamped hang tags for each product to antique them and create an old world artifact that is a small memento and extra level of attention to detail that their customers would appreciate.

You can not minimize how much your branding/art design impacts your company. It is a first impression to those who visit, it is a window to who you are for those web only visitors, and tells everyone exactly who you are and what your company/business is all about. From our branded products to shirts, and beyond our branding partnership made us a real, legitimate business before we even opened our doors.
